Oceans of Energy is looking for an Electrical Engineer!
You will be part of the design team, from concept to detailed design and verification of the system by testing. The electrical engineer will simulate and analyse our offshore photovoltaic energy systems. You will develop in-house simulation tools and set-up commercially simulation tools, to model and size our electrical systems and components. You will design and develop our electrical substations such as, inverter, switchgear and transformer stations. And as an electrical engineer you will guiding external parties in the design of certain sub-systems / components.
About Oceans of Energy
Oceans of Energy is a young, passionate and fast-growing company. We installed the world’s first offshore solar farm in 2019 and have since been operating it in severe offshore conditions. It is our aim to enable the world to generate clean energy from the abundance of space at sea instead of those scarce locations on land. Our modular offshore solar farm has been operational at sea for several years now and as we are extending it, we are monitoring it extensively. Specifically, the environmental monitoring we do thoroughly. Together with knowledge institutes, NGO’s and universities, we assess the impact on nature and marine life as well as to explore nature-enhancing opportunities around offshore solar

Job requirements
In possession of EU working permit valid for more than 1 year (NB: this is a strict requirement)
Electrical Engineering, BSc or MSc / Sustainable Energy technology
Experience with designing/simulating electrical systems such as: small and large scale PV farms systems
Ability to work with and leverage the expertise / input of partners and suppliers
Excellent English language skills
Perform well in a fast-paced and challenging environment of new technology development; enjoy working in a young company with start–up mentality
Enthusiastic, handson, independent, and getting things done with simple means.
Team player and working together with other disciplines (i.e. structural design. naval architecture)
