We are the only company in the world that managed to design, build and keep an offshore solar system at sea for multiple years. Our mission is to develop offshore energy solutions that work in harmony with nature, and we are committed to making offshore solar a highly valuable option for clean electricity generation. Being so far ahead means that we need to develop the market. Worldwide offshore energy projects are in the minds of many people, but very few are aware that offshore solar is ready – and that it generates much more clean electricity than all the other technologies. 


As Sales Director, you will play a crucial role in building our commercial pipeline and closing our next commercial contracts. We are currently building the first offshore solar in an offshore wind farm at the North Sea for Shell & Eneco (Crosswind). You will be part of Oceans of Energies’ talented team of professionals. You will be the main point of contact for our customers; you get to interact with them one-on-one, in person, at exhibitions, demos or other occasions. This allows you to analyze their needs and offer them the best possible solutions. That is because you understand all relevant details of the customer’s process.


Key Responsibilities

  • Negotiate and close deals with key clients, ensuring profitable contracts
  • Build, structure and execute the sales effort
  • Identify commercial opportunities, build good relationships with potential clients worldwide
  • Offer our offering to potential clients worldwide
  • Develop and improve our offering
  • Develop and implement commercial plans in collaboration with the CEO and Business Development department
  • Prepare and present sales reports and forecasts to the executive team
  • Expand the commercial team, coach and teach junior sales staff

Job requirements

Qualifications and Skills

  • Proven track record in sales, preferably within the renewable energy industry
  • Results-oriented mindset with a focus on achieving targets
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Strong analytical skills to assess market trends and develop effective sales strategies
  • Willingness to travel as needed
  • A degree in business administration or a related field; however, if you have a different background but with the required skills, we encourage you to apply
